Introducing Carolyne Kemunto Momanyi, a prolific television writer with nearly a decade of television credits. She has played an integral role in Africa’s television landscape, contributing her creative brilliance to some of the continent’s most popular and celebrated shows.

Carolyne's contributions include heart-pounding dramas like My Two Wives for Africa's most popular streaming service, Showmax, which won two prestigious Kalasha Awards from the Kenya Film Commission. She has also served as the Head Writer on Igiza, a gripping crime thriller that delves into the dark underworld of money laundering. As a Story Editor on Faithless, she explored the grip religious fanaticism has on society. Carolyne's versatility also shone through her role as a Co-Head Writer and Story Editor on the inaugural seasons of Single Kiasi, an alluring East African series following the lives of three friends.

Nearer to home, Carolyne contributed to the serialized drama Pieces of Us for Kenyan entertainment channel NTV and the stirring drama Junior for Kenya's free-to-air television network, KTN. Her imaginative storytelling hooked audiences in revealing the private lives of socialites in KTN's popular reality series Socialites.

Carolyne’s newest projects continue to showcase the breadth of her storytelling talent. South African pay television channel M-Net’s audience can look forward to her telenovela debut with the premiere of Zari in Fall 2023. Netflix audiences can also anticipate her work as the Head Writer on the murder mystery thriller Cash Money, scheduled for Winter 2023.
