Grace Irungu

Say hello to Grace Irungu, a writer/producer who has been lighting up Kenyan screens with unforgettable stories for over nine years. Her creative energy has given life to beloved shows such as Kina, Pendo, and the ever-popular Real Househelps franchise on the Kenyan free-to-air television network KTN.

In 2013, Grace founded her production company, Sinema Afrika, focused on bringing cinematic stories featuring strong female protagonists to life. Shortly afterward, her feature film script, Mzia Mazi, was commissioned by the South African pay television channel M-Net for its Maisha Magic East network and later streamed on popular continental streamer Showmax. M-Net's Maisha Magic Movies was also the platform for the premiere of Grace's second feature film, Nyakio, My Love. Grace co-wrote her third feature film, Boda Love, with award-winning British-Canadian filmmaker Janet Wells. Boda Love is scheduled to premiere in late 2023.

As a rising star, Grace's brilliance shines even brighter with the optioning of her television series Delicious and Dangerous by PMF Media Group (U.S.) and VentureLift Africa following her participation in the International Writer’s Lab.
